Dear Jason,
Please feel free to use any part of this letter on your testimonial page, etc. It's my pleasure to tell people my first-rate experience with you and everyone at Northwest Siding. Suzanne
In the summer of 2010, I contacted three siding companies, having decided that I was finally willing to consider the cost of replacing my old, cracked, unsightly vinyl siding from the 50s. It wasn't just a cosmetic urge. I was very concerned about how much water had gotten behind the siding, creating ever more expensive dry-rot repairs.
Of the three companies, Northwest Siding gave by far the most thorough evaluation of my house. Gary was unfailingly courteous, patient, and informative. All of my questions were answered to my complete satisfaction. The amount of time the project would take (short compared to the other two companies); the fair pricing; the experience and reputation of the company, and the pleasure of dealing with Gary made it an easy decision to choose Northwest Siding.
Jason, the on-site supervisor, always made me feel that my house was his top priority. The siding team was fantastic: incredibly hard working, respectful of my property and my garden (the latter was especially of concern since I have a lot of landscaping); polite; easy to have around. Each day they cleaned up thoroughly after themselves, neatly stacking their equipment. They were a joy to have around.
Some dry rot was found and the siding team's capable carpenters were able to discover and weed it all out, replacing it with new lumber. That was a huge relief.
The siding team was very ingenious about dealing with several unsightly areas on my house that had extraneous wires hanging down, and ugly exposed pipes. All of these were cleverly hidden away, creating a much cleaner looking silhouette. I was grateful for their ingenuity and willingness to go the extra mile to make the house look its very best.
I was very concerned about getting the exact shade of paint. I chose yellow which is notoriously difficult, prone to fading and to being too bright. After buying and testing about 20 colors, I decided on one but only after Jason called on the top man at Sherwin Williams to match the sample I provided. And even then, knowing how concerned I was, Jason assured me that the painters would buy just enough of the color to paint one side of the house. If I wasn't completely satisfied, they would have the color re-mixed until I was happy. This was an extraordinary gesture of cooperation and patience on Jason's part. Again, he took great pains to consider my priority and make it his own. He never hurried me, never conveyed that anything I asked for was too much.
My choice in yellow paint was just right. The rains held off so that the house was painted by an exceptional crew. They, too, were unfailingly polite, very hardworking, a pleasure to have around, and cleaned up each day. Like the siding team, the painters were also careful to not trample my plants which I very much appreciated.
Jason had indicated that it might take some months to do the last few details on the house (some caulking, a little touch-up painting) since we were now heading into winter. There was never any surprise that the job wasn't completely done because Jason prepared me for the time table from the beginning. That was very helpful.
My house now is one of the prettiest on the block. But I also have peace of mind from knowing that all the dry rot was removed; that moisture can no longer get in; that the best siding product was used; and that I have made the very best possible home investment which I will recoup should I ever sell the house.
To top all of that off, I had a wonderful experience throughout the house transformation. Northwest Siding's commitment to excellence and the personal integrity and work ethic of every person involved made a major home improvement project enjoyable, even fun, instead of stressful. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
